Spot the differences

We hope these tweaks to TTG Asia will allow my team and I to fulfil our commitment to promoting positive travel and tourism... and spreading best practices that will uplift the entire industry.

If you are a regular reader of the print issue of TTG Asia, you will notice some changes in this issue. Our features are now more clearly defined to inspire different or more creative ways to shape tourism products and the traveller’s journey.

With the new Big idea section, my team and I will spot an important and interesting industry development for that moment and look into how it is contributing to the travel and tourism industry as well as what the opportunities are for stakeholders to make the most out of it for the benefit of both their business and travellers.

Sports tourism takes the limelight for our first Big idea section, and it is inspiring to see how destination managers and hotel companies are leveraging the magnetic pull of sports to shape inbound visitorship, attract new guest profiles, and build loyalty.

We have also improved on our Itinerary section to point you, our readers, towards latest tourism offerings as well as more interesting products and experiences that would resonate with high-value and special interest travellers.

We have taken the same approach with our destination features, where our research and interviews are now focused on identifying positive developments that would spur travel planners to recognise fresh opportunities to take their travellers deeper into the country, where they can experience more interesting and meaningful activities.

We hope these tweaks to TTG Asia will allow my team and I to fulfil our commitment to promoting positive travel and tourism, facilitating a more resounding narrative on responsible tourism development that benefits the host community and travellers, and spreading best practices that will uplift the entire industry.

Meanwhile, our news website will continue to carry breaking news and timely analyses that you have enjoyed all this while.

Thank you for reading and being the reason for TTG Asia’s existence!
