INDIAN domestic carrier IndiGo will be distributing all its fares and ancillary products via Travelport, the first time the LCC is doing so with a global GDS.

IndiGo’s content will be offered on Travelport’s Travel Commerce Platform via an API connection, rather than via fare filing, and will also make use of the GDS’ brand merchandising capabilities.
“This arrangement with Travelport will allow us to reach new customers, both at home and overseas, in a cost effective manner without incurring the traditional costs associated with participating in global distribution platforms,” said Aditya Ghosh, president & whole time director at IndiGo.

IndiGo commenced operations in 2006 with a single aircraft and now operates a fleet of 112 including Airbus A320 Neos.
