Agoda, Capella Hotel Group forge distribution partnership

Agoda has teamed up with Capella Hotel Group to bring properties under its Capella Hotels and Resorts and Patina Hotels & Resorts brands onto the online travel platform.

The agreement will give Agoda users access to Capella Hotel Group’s portfolio, while extending the hotel group’s distribution to Agoda’s customer base in Asia and other markets.

The partnership comes as demand for luxury travel continues to grow in Asia-Pacific. McKinsey projects the segment will grow around eight per cent annually in the region, while Visa expects Asia to account for nearly half of the world’s new high-net-worth individuals by 2028.

Agoda’s 2026 Travel Outlook Report also found that 31 per cent of surveyed travellers prioritised culinary experiences when travelling, while 25 per cent cited cultural exploration as a key motivation.

Bangkok and Bali, where Capella Hotel Group operates properties, are among Agoda’s most-searched destinations for five-star accommodation, alongside Kuala Lumpur.

Capella Hotel Group operates properties across Asia and other regions under its Capella and Patina brands, with the Agoda partnership intended to extend their distribution as the group grows its portfolio.

“Luxury today is personal. Our role at Agoda is to make sure that what a traveller is looking for – from an everyday getaway to a once-in-a-lifetime stay – is easy to discover and book,” said Andrew Smith, senior vice president of supply at Agoda. “Partnering with Capella Hotel Group brings some of the world’s most celebrated properties onto our platform, making these extraordinary stays and experiences just as accessible to our customers as any other trip they plan with us.”

“As Capella Hotel Group continues on its growth trajectory, partnerships that drive commercial value like this one with Agoda give us the scale and reach to connect with a high-intent traveller base across Asia and beyond,” added Varun Whig, vice president, revenue, Capella Hotel Group.
