Macau eases movement, business restrictions

Macau authorities will reopen public services and entertainment facilities, and allow dining-in at restaurants from August 2, as new Covid-19 infections continue to stay absent for nine straight days.

In a statement released on August 1, health authorities said mask-wearing is compulsory and people must show a negative Covid-19 test result within three days to enter most venues.

Macau reopens from August 2

Macau’s intense Covid-19 outbreak had led authorities to shutter more than 30 casinos and other businesses earlier this month, and to limit movements to only trips out of homes for essentials.
