New hotels: Park Hotel Yeongdeungpo, Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit and more

The latest hotel openings and announcements made this week.

Park Hotel Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, South Korea
Park Hotel Group has opened its first South Korean property in Seoul’s Yeongdeungpo district, next to the Seonyudo subway station. The new-build hotel offers 140 keys across five room categories such as the Premier Family Studio that comes with two bathrooms and a kitchenette. Amenities within the 14-storey building include a 24-hour gym, a business centre, meeting room, banquet hall and three F&B concepts.

Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit, Thailand
Hyatt’s latest opening in the Thai capital is part of a 31-storey mixed-use development. The hotel is connected to the Bangkok’s Nana BTS skytrain station via a sky bridge. There are 273 guestrooms, including 21 suites, starting with sizes from 35m2. In addition to three dining outlets, recreational facilities – all on the sixth floor – include an outdoor swimming pool, a steam room and a 24-hour gym. For functions, the hotel boasts more than 1,300m2 of meeting space from the Regency Ballroom that can hold 850 guests, to a boardroom for 24 people.

dusitD2 Yarkay Thimphu, Bhutan
Dusit International has opened its first hotel in Bhutan’s capital. Offering 83 keys, the hotel includes a Thai spa, a fully-equipped gym and an international all-day-dining restaurant. A vibrant bar and Bhutan’s first Thai restaurant will soon follow.

Pavilion Hotel Kuala Lumpur Managed by Banyan Tree, Malaysia
The first hotel property under the Pavilion Group has opened its doors to the public. Located 13 floors above the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur shopping centre, the hotel features 325 rooms and suites, with sizes ranging from 32m2 to 60m2. Facilities include three F&B options, the Banyan Tree Spa, and a gym and infinity pool on level 18. Total event space measures 1,298m2, comprising a ballroom that can accommodate up to 500 pax, a crescent-shaped venue that seats 120 pax in banquet setting and five fully-equipped meeting rooms that can accommodate 40 pax per room.

Hilton Da Nang, Vietnam
Ranging from 36m2 to 202m2, all 223 guestrooms and suites in Hilton Da Nang feature locally-inspired designs and views of the Han River. Executive floor also rooms have exclusive access to the 27th floor lounge. Facilities span a heated outdoor swimming pool, gym and three dining options including a rooftop grill on the 28th floor. Meeting planners will be able to avail the property’s eight meeting rooms and a grand ballroom which can accommodate up to 500 guests.
