STEVE Odell, former senior vice president UK, Europe & Asia-Pacific of Silversea Cruises, is now the president for Europe & Asia-Pacific.
The 28-year travel and cruise industry veteran has spearheaded Silversea’s expansion in key international markets and has led the opening of the corporate regional headquarters in Sydney and Singapore in 2007.
Odell joined Silversea in 1998 as its London-based vice president sales & marketing, Europe, Africa & Middle East, before relocating to Sydney in 2003 to assume commercial responsibility for the company’s Asia-Pacific region. He was elected to chair the Board of the International Cruise Council of Australasia in 2005.
He played a key role in setting up the Asia Cruise Association in 2008 and also served on the UK’s Passenger Shipping Association from 1995-2003.
