Explora Journeys is set to enter the river cruise sector after signing a Letter of Intent with Dutch shipbuilder Den Breejen Shipyard for the construction of its first river ships.
The agreement marks an extension of the cruise brand’s operations beyond ocean voyages, with the planned vessels set to operate on European rivers.
Details on the ships’ design, onboard facilities, delivery schedule and initial itineraries have yet to be disclosed.
Sales for Explora Journeys’ river cruise programme are expected to open in 2027.
