KOP Hotels & Resorts has appointed Allwyn Drego as general manager and Vanessa Kong as director of sales & marketing of Montigo Resorts Nongsa.
Drego joins Montigo Resorts Nongsa from the TAJ Group of Hotels, where he was the pre-opening and opening general manager of the Vivanta Coral Reef in the Maldives.
Other career highlights include stints as general manager of the Taj Exotica Resort and Spa in Goa from 2005-2009, and as officiating general manager of The Oberoi Amarvilas, Agra in 2004.
Kong joins Montigo Resorts Nongsa from Dusit Hotels and Resorts in Dubai, where she was most recently the director of sales & marketing for the Dusit Princess City Centre.
During her six-year stint with Dusit International, Kong headed the sales and marketing departments of Dusit Princess City Centre and Dusit Residence Dubai Marina.
Prior to her career in Dubai, Kong held managerial positions at the Shangri-La and Mandarin Oriental Hotels in Singapore.
