Aman releases new wellness initiatives across its global properties

Aman has started 2025 with a new calendar of wellness initiatives across its properties worldwide, with some programmes featuring extended partnerships with famous athletes Maria Sharapova and Novak Djokovic as advisors.

The wellness programmes in Aman’s Asian resorts tap into local traditions.

Aman Kyoto invites health-focused guests to a two-night wellness retreat

At Amangalla in Sri Lanka’s historic Galle Fort, guests are invited to the Ceylon Crystal Therapy, a rejuvenating ritual that combines Sri Lankan crystals with aromatic herbs and spices, working along key meridian points to balance energy flows and relieve tension.

Over at Aman Tokyo, Japan, the 150-minute Signature Spa Journey has been curated to rejuvenate body and mind, blending ancient Japanese wellness traditions with modern therapies including a body wrap, massage and facial. The fragrance of Kuromoji extract fills the air throughout the therapy, melting away physical and mental tension. This soothing plant is linked to tea master Sen no Rikyū, who used Kuromoji picks in samurai tea ceremonies.

Elsewhere in Japan, at Aman Kyoto, the new Onsen Escape is a two-night retreat that features private onsen sessions at the Aman Spa, paired with wellness-focused dining at The Living Pavilion by Aman. Mornings begin with a vegetarian Buddhist breakfast, including the chef’s signature soymilk porridge, a dish known for its ability to balance the body and mind. Afternoons give way to wellness-themed lunches using seasonal vegetables, a choice of spa treatments (using inclusive hotel credit), and afternoon tea to lift the spirits.

At Amankora, Bhutan, guests can join Sound Bath Sessions for deep relaxation and to regain emotional balance.

Guests journeying in China will also find rejuvenating opportunities at Amanyangyun in the outskirts of Shanghai and Aman Summer Palace in Beijing.

Amanyangyun presents Banya Spa House Programme, a half-day retreat that incorporates a session in the Banya sauna, followed by invigorating cold plunges, and therapeutic scrubs using oak or eucalyptus branches. The treatment not only revitalises the skin but also detoxifies the body and strengthens the immune system.

The 90-minute Rejuvenating Herbal Essence Therapy at Aman Summer Palace combines rare herbal essences with invigorating techniques to relieve fatigue, promote vitality, and harmonise the body’s energies, while the 60-minute Hydrating Radiance Treatment facial deeply nourishes the skin to restore its natural glow.
